Growing up on a cattle ranch in north central Nebraska, Katy Keller-Lautzenhiser imagined a life in the big city as a journalist. After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Kearney with a broadcast journalism degree in 1999, Katy pursued her dream as a radio news reporter, a newspaper reporter, and as a TV news producer. While her fast-paced careers lead her across Nebraska, Tennessee and Missouri, she discovered her greatest profession was being a mother to her and her husband’s, Ryan, two beautiful daughters: Skylar (8), and Aurora (5).
Katy maintains her love of writing on a free-lance basis, and pours herself into leading and volunteering for child-related organizations in the suburbs of Kansas City. She’s currently a preschool teacher assistant, while actively seeking her child growth and development certification.
