5. You are 100% sure your idea is awesome and unique and you know you’ve got what it takes to make this work.
Reality Check: Fantastic woman, you do. You DO have it. But it’s so hard. And you need to be prepared for years of hard work, late hours, early mornings, negative comments and hours upon hours of research and studying. You need to know that to REALLY do this at a money making rate means you’ll spend less time on your real job and your family and your friends.
Also, you need to know that 72 trillion bloggers across the globe are doing the same thing as you.
We can break through the clutter that is the internet world. I 100% believe it. But don’t expect the road to be easy. It will be so tough. But if you believe in yourself, if you have a team around you who believes in you and you’re willing to give it your all, then do it. Don’t second guess yourself. Don’t listen to me or anyone else.
Just do it.
Here’s what’s working for us over on Her View From Home. Turns out, our idea isn’t original. But we are. We are genuine and real and 100% care about you guys. We read all your e-mails. We want to share your story. And we really, really, really love all this hard work. (We’re also a little bit cray.)
The second that stops – the second this platform becomes a place just to make money – is the second it will fail.
And failing is hard.
If you want to blog, do it. But do it for the right reasons. Don’t do it for your mom or your cat or your daughter or your big idea to gain fame and money. Do it because you know, deep down, your life wouldn’t be complete without it.
And that, my friends, will make your little place on the internet world a success.
