Dream Letters - Turn Your Child Into An Avid Reader & Writer
Written by Leslie Means

Guys, it’s no secret that kids today aren’t spending as much time reading and writing.

Hello electronics.  I’m guilty too.  Clearly.  But here’s a way we can get our kids to experience both the love of reading and technology.

“Dream Letters is the first interactive reading and writing game on paper. A magical, personalized story sent to your child’s mailbox.”

Yep.  I’m in.  My girls love the mail!  Don’t you?  (I mean, when it’s not full of bills, of course.)  Dream Letters is a company that focuses on reading and writing when our kids are at that crucial stage of development.

With your subscription your child will:

  • Receive personalized letters in the mailbox,
  • Discover and enjoy the pleasure of reading,
  • Create their own story at their own rhythm,
  • Learn real facts about history, biology, etc.,
  • Upgrade their vocabulary level,
  • Develop their imagination,
  • Write and draw their own responses in a non-judgment state of mind,
  • Receive updated letters based on their decisions,
  • Develop self-confidence.

Your child grows with Dream Letters!

Here’s the truth.  These guys contacted me a few weeks ago.  I have two daughters ages 7 and 5.  Right now, anything to improve their love for the written word catches my attention.  So I watched the video and read more – and I will be donating to this campaign to help this project become huge in the United States (and so I can get my girls started, too!).

When you and I donate, our kids get the benefits.  There’s a full list at their KickStarter campaign website.

Here’s how it works.  Choose your amount to donate (anywhere from $5 on up).  With your donation, your kids can experience Dream Letters and all that is to come!  Different donation amounts will come with different gifts.  The more you give, the more you receive!

Here’s an example of the type of letter your child will receive:  Dream Letters Example

And here’s a few more details:

Dream Letters is a writing exchange between your child and the characters of a story; in which they are the heroes.

On one morning, your child finds in the mailbox a large envelope addressed to them. Inside, they will discover a bunch of exciting and intriguing surprises: a crown, the map of a faraway kingdom with stickers to complete it, a badge, a diploma and four letters.

When reading, they find out they have been appointed king or queen of this very kingdom and their help is requested by their royal counselors! All they need is a pen, a sheet of paper and a stamp: the rest of the story depends on their choices and decisions.

I mean – cool!  Right?

And here’s the truth – again.

Because we like to be honest her on Her View.  This is a sponsored post.  Oh.  You got that?  Just checking.  BUT – we don’t promote anything we don’t love.  You know what I mean?  Money just isn’t that desperate.  But I like these guys.  I like the passion behind this project and I truly want to check it out for my kids.

So that’s that.  Enjoy!  And let me know what your kids think!
