There are so many recipes for this one floating around.
But I don’t “do” the fussy ones. I just make it simple, quick and tasty. Just how I remember. My family and I have started the “holy cats we are never home but always in the car” stage of life and I honestly don’t understand how anyone has time to make long drawn out meals on the weeknights.
So I stick with simple. This doesn’t disappoint.
Of course if you want to add your own flair (spice up the meat – mash your own potatoes) by all means, go for it! Here’s what I throw together. My girls loved it!
Easy Shepherd’s Pie
You Will Need:
- 1 pound of hamburger
- 1/2 small onion
- 1 can of green beans (drained)
- 1 can of tomato soup
- 2 cups of instant mashed potatoes
- salt and pepper
How to make it!
Brown hamburger and onion together, drain.
Put hamburger/onion in large oven friendly dish. Add drained beans and cover beans with soup. Top with mashed potatoes. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
Enjoy!
