If you’re like me, this sudden onset of Fall has got you grinning from ear-to-ear and reaching for your favorite boots and a chai latte. I absolutely love Fall!!! Yesterday as we drove to supper I spotted a few trees with leaves beginning to change and I literally squealed with delight. Fall fills me with a feeling of Love.
I have a little project going on at home and it has me looking through old photos and my favorites are almost always our yearly trips to the pumpkin patch and cross country meets. I think it is the fellowship that these events seem to bring out in us.
I have watched my children hold hands, hug, laugh, cry, pray, fall, triumph and encourage each other and their teammates over the years while running. This week was our first meet of the year and it was emotional. Not only do our children build bonds with their teammates, but we do as well, with the runners AND their families. As they graduate and move on, it is a new dynamic each season.
This week a few of our friends joined us to cheer for their former teammates. It was emotional and inspiring to see them together again. I am so thankful that our kids have such loving, faithful friends.
Therfore, encourage one another and build one another up, as indeed you do.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
I hope that as I journey through this life that I will be as supportive and loving to my friends as our friends have been to us. Remember that it doesn’t matter where our friends live or how long it has been since we have talked or spent time together. They have left a mark on our hearts and we are forever better for having them in our lives. Be that kind of friend. The kind that encourages, prays, understands, forgives, loves unconditionally and builds people up!
If one falls, the other will lift up his companion. Woe to the solitary man! For if he should fall, he has no one to lift him up.
Ecclesiastes 4:10
Call a friend today and let them know what they mean to you. Spread some Love!
Blessings!
Thank you to Tammy Jackson for the team prayer photo.
