Guys – look at this!
Mom surprised me today with heart shaped caramel cinnamon rolls! She took off this morning and made a trip around the tri-cities to deliver all of these to my sisters and me.
Awesome. To quote my sister, “Mom! Retirement looks good on you!” Indeed.
Here’s the how to:
Use this recipe and make cinnamon rolls as directed. (Our favorite – ever.)
Find a heart shaped pan.
Put plenty of butter then brown sugar on the bottom. (Add pecans and/or nuts here too if you want. Mom kept these out because the hubs doesn’t like them. Seriously? He’s spoiled.)
Cook as usual. Be sure to watch them. For mom it took 25-27 minutes. Turn the pan upside down and take rolls out relatively quickly, otherwise the topping will come off.
Add frosting if you wish.
Enjoy!
Can’t wait to have these tomorrow morning with my coffee, mom. Thank You!! Here’s a couple more pics of my sister’s treats! She actually made 4 of these – we’re missing one.
