UNK Family 4 Pack Giveaway – winners announced!!

14 Sep, 2012

So who’s going to be watching the action at UNK? We have 4 family packs (4 tickets per family to football, volleyball and soccer!!) to give away. Are you ready? Drum roll please……

Karen Schultz: She posted an adorable picture of her dog sporting team spirit.

I just loved UNK. So many great memories from UNK. I was an Alph Phi. I still run into professors I had over the years and they still remember me. I love taking my kids to UNK events. UNK is such an asset to Kearney. Kelly

I never lived on campus so I think I missed out on getting the whole experience, but now I work at UNK and have to say that I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else. Love the campus, faculty and staff and most especially the students!! Cindy M

I went to UNK and lived in the dorms the first two years. It was a great experience and I am glad that I did it. I met a lot of people and really enjoyed living there. College was fun. (Rani C, UNK Gear and the tickets)

Cindy, Rani, Kelly, and Karen, please email Heather@herviewfromhome.com to claim your prizes and congrats!

UNK. UNK. UNK! My son has been chanting all yesterday afternoon and this morning on the way to school. Yesterday he experienced his FIRST football game with his Daddy and Grandpa. He wasn’t super impressed with Louie the Loper though, but he did get the hang of the basics of the game. I would show you pictures but you know how guys are :-)

UNK is a sweet spot for me. Chances are, it’s a sweet spot for quite a few of you too. It’s where I made great friends, slept through biology class and discovered my passions.  And because we believe so much in education, I gave my husband his acceptance letter to UNK for our 10 year anniversary….he’s on the eight year plan. :-) We still bike ride or walk through campus at least twice a week with the kids.  It’s great to see where my student loans are going towards in terms of progress.

It will always be a part of our family.

UNK is so much a part of my history and I loved going to Homecoming, concerts, volleyball games, not to mention basketball, baseball and football.

I started my college years at UNK, a place where I met my husband and had LOTS of fun! I actually graduated from CCC in GI as an RN. I had a blast the first year and worked my tail off the next 2 years before I graduated. It was all worth it as I get to fulfill my childhood dream every night I go to work!

I also “liked” this post! :)

Who couldn’t like this post?! I started my college career back when it was still Kearney State College! I was a bookworm nerd in order to keep my tutoring scholarship, so I missed out on meeting my husband who was a KSC/UNK kicker until nearly a dozen years later! Too much studying CAN be hazardous! lol

I need a new sweatshirt because the only one I have (besides my nursing school one) is from my freshman year in CTE! I’ll try to post a picture with the DOG wearing it because… umm… it shrank in the closet over the last 26 years!!

Loved my college experience, though it was not at UNK. I just love the “back to campus” time of year; so full of new possibilities.

I went to college at UNK and absolutely enjoyed my experience. My husband and I took a class together and had a blast! He was a senior and I was a freshman so one However, I was never able to attend any sporting events due to my schedule and other things. I have been meaning to go with my family, but am a little nervous to go since I’m no longer in college. My brother-in-law is a student there and he provides motivation for us all to go back for a game, maybe we will. (I liked this as well.) Thanks for the chance!

I didn’t go to UNK as a student, but I LOVE being on the campus everyday to teach the International students. It’s a great place to have a child who is wanting a small, nice place to go! The professors and staff are amazing!

I am currently attending the University of Nebraska-Kearney and am studying Marketing and Finance. I started my college career at Peru State College but never felt tied in to the campus and community like I do in Kearney. The whole campus has a family feel that makes you feel comfortable and at ease. As I walk to class I always notice the other students smiling and talking amongst each other, like they have been friends for years. The professors are all very kind and helpful as well. The city of Kearney as a whole is family oriented, yet fun and full of entertainment for the students. I have now been living in Kearney for 4 years and I plan to spend many more here, it really is a great place to live and a wonderful place to feed your mind! GO LOPERS!

College was a rollercoaster ride for me! I wish I would have done better in my classes and paid more attention to the “important stuff” like getting a degree, etc! LOL On the other end of it, it was so fun to be a part of a family in my dorm and the infamous Music hall! I loved every memory of late night talks, silly pranks, feeling like I “belonged” and just building friendships! I still get all misty whenever I take my kiddos there for their own music things or drive by Martin Hall! I love UNK! :)
