Her Must Have; a Cell Phone with No Strings Attached

My phone died this week. Literally and during one of the worst times. We left our oldest to babysit her siblings before going to Parent Teacher Conferences. The whole 1.5 hours we were there, my phone didn’t buzz once. Not wanting to appear rude and check my phone, I left it in my purse.

After the meetings were over, I checked my phone. It wouldn’t turn on and when it did, it was a blank white screen. Once I got home and found that all my children were still alive and the house was still standing–it was on to looking for a new phone.

I left my dinosaur phone behind....

And upgraded to this....

My stars! There are SO many choices to make in terms of a cell phone. Type of phone, smart phone or not, Android or not, Iphone 5–not anytime soon.

Then the carriers was a whole new ball game. I just want simple without all those fees! I wanted something that would bring me into the 21st Century, besides I doubt I can pull off looking so put together and terrific with a ginormous phone next to my ear like Julia Roberts…just saying.

So after comparing several national carriers, I ultimately went with Straight Talk. There is a romance to having a cell phone without a contract–no strings attached. Talk about freedom. Here’s the down low: Straight Talk offers service that bounces off other carriers, the coverage is comparable to Verizon here in Nebraska. They also don’t lock you into your phone and plan, you are free to choose the phone you want and your plan.

What I love about my plan is that it is month to month, no extra fees, unlimited text, talk and data for $45.00 a month.

The downside is you pay for your phone in full up front. I found a Samsung Precedent on sale and purchased this android phone for 80.00 and I LOVE IT.
