Her Must Have Fall TV

Can you feel it?
It is coming.
There are many reasons to love fall.
I think television is one of them.
Summer TV is just horrible. Having worked in TV, I know they do that on purpose. It is because no big ratings come out of the summer. That’s also on purpose. People are mainly outside. Numbers of people watching TV are pretty low. So, you don’t want to take ratings for sales when no one is watching TV. There is a ‘ratings book’ in July (but everyone in the biz knows it doesn’t mean much.) There are a couple more in May and November. Those are big.
Anyways, all that info for one fact: Great TV will begin SOON!
We want to know what your favorite shows are!! Give us your top 3-5! (Here’s a list of all the shows coming out SOON!)
Here are mine:
1. Football!
Are you ready for some?
The NFL regular season started last night. I grew up in Nebraska. I’m a football fan. I love the Huskers and Chiefs. My husband is from Iowa. He loves Iowa and the Steelers. (The Iowa v. Nebraska rivalry is a topic for another post. Grin)
I love to watch football.
Nebraska’s fight song gets me going.
So does this one:
2. Grey’s Anatomy
Aaaaagggghh!! They might have ‘jumped the shark’ (click here for definition.) Someone on this site once said they stopped watching when Izzy gave the deer mouth-to-mouth. Um… yeah. That was bad. But the hospital shooting episode was one of the best I’ve ever seen.
I still love it.
And right now the characters have been stuck, dying on a mountain top after a plane crash! What happens next??? Will they all die and end the show on the first episode back?!?! (grin. Maybe I jumped the shark with that. Ha!)
3. Modern Family
O.M.Gosh. This is one of television’s all-time best written shows.
I know it is controversial because of the gay couple. (My husband won’t watch it with me.)
But, I am laughing to the point of tears some nights. It really is great TV.
4. Once Upon A Time
This is a new favorite.
I love the costumes.
I love the actors.
I actually love twisting fairy tales around and making them modern. I also love the underlying messages about today’s society.
I can’t wait to see this new season.
Anyone with me?
5. 666 Park Avenue
This is a new one. I may add it to my playlist. I’m not sure, yet.
I LOVED “The Devil’s Advocate” (a 1997 movie.) The premise sounds similar.
A Midwestern couple moves to the city and is tempted by the devil. Sounds interesting to me.
So, I’ve given you my Top 5 list. What’s yours?

Dancing with the Stars!!!! and Glee
oh and I forgot Parenthood! Hands down the best show on TV. Beautifully written and acted… I cry every episode. If you are a parent, if you have parents, you will relate to this show.
