Her Must Haves for Fall

I LOVE, love the fall. In the Arizona desert we didn’t have the same dramatic color of leaf changing to dazzle our view. The weather grew cooler with a light frost dusting the ground and cactus. Nebraska fall reminds me much of the Wyoming ranchlands, the dry sagebrush and the cravings of hot apple cider. Here’s a few of my MUST HAVES for fall.

Pumpkin Decor

This fall I can’t wait to try new ideas with my pumpkins. Besides carving them and baking the seeds, I want to try some ideas that I saw last fall in various magazines. Have you ever bedazzled a pumpkin? What about decopouge? Here’s a peek at what I’ll be attempting.

With Fall blowing its way across Nebraska, there are several ways to keep warm and lift our spirits. Especially with Thanksgiving and Christmas around the corner, I want to go to my favorite drink, Apple Cider. I can whip up a batch and hand out to the kids after they’re done raking the leaves (Okay, more like diving in them).

My Favorite Sweater

Even though I’ve lived in Nebraska for nearly 12 years, I still haven’t acclimated to winter. I spent the first 12 years of my childhood all over Arizona. It’s amazing how threads of wool or cotton are woven together with virbrant colors making us feel warm and cozy.

My favorite this year is from Decree. And since mixing patterns is ‘in’, I think I’ll be wearing it more this season.

LOVE this sweater, fringe and all. It’s fabulous to curl up in and looks great for a night on the town with friends

Boots

Yes! The time is here I can wear my fuzzy boots. Four years ago, my husband hunted all over the mall for the perfect boot for his bride. He found these and I can’t wait to put them on every year. LOVE them. Every gal needs a ‘go to’ pair of boots, these are the ones my friend. I also have a few other styles but these are my favs, mainly because I can say, “My husband picked them out.”
