Her TaterTot Casserole = Comfort food.

Written by Jen Sill

My mom made these when I was little.  They bring back happy memories.  Plus, the recipe is EASY and it freezes.  So you can cook it up and save it for a night when you just can’t stand the thought of standing in front of the stove/oven/grill and even heading to a restaurant seems like too much work.  Pop this in the oven and take a load off for a bit.

**You can get some friends together for a freezer-stocking project.  Each make a double or triple batch of one casserole and then switch.  Voila!  Three tasty meals easily packed in your fridge.  (Heather’s idea.  Click here for more details.)

(Another Editor’s Note:  I tried taking pictures of this in progress, but they didn’t look as appealing as they should.  But just know it IS super good.  Mushroom soup and burger just doesn’t translate well in pictures.)

Tate Tot Casserole:

1 lb Ground Beef

1 can Green Beans

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 can cheddar cheese soup

1 pkg seasoned Tater Tots

shredded cheese

sliced cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cook hamburger.  Drain.  Place in bottom of a casserole.

Add green beans and soups, stir well.

Place slices of cheese on soup/beans mixture.

Arrange Tater Tots on top.

Sprinkle Shreaded cheese on top of tots.

Bake for 30-45 minutes.

Tater Tots should be browned and mixture bubbly.
