Each week I like to highlight the top three things going on in Nebraska.*  If you know of something happening that is not listed here, please add it in the comments!  Our goal is to offer a place for more awareness for more events!  We do not mean to exclude!!  We just may not have heard of your event!  Send a news release for your event anytime to jennie@herviewfromhome.com.

 

1. Stuhr Museum Harvest Festival

When: Saturday, September 22.  10am-5pm

What:  A celebration of all things harvest. Games, Live music, Dancing, A grass Maze, Wagon Rides, and more!

Where: Stuhr Museum (3133 W. HWY 34 in Grand Island)

Price: $6-$8

2. UNK Homecoming

(Source – Kearney Hub)

When: Saturday, September 22.  Parade @ 10am.  Football game @ 4pm

What: A Celebration of UNK.  Theme: “There’s no place like Homecoming”

Local high school bands also participate in competition at this parade.

Where: Parade on Central Avenue in Kearney.  Football game @ Foster Field @ UNK.

3. Alliance Frontier Town Fall Festival

When: Saturday 22 and Sunday 23

What: Quick Draw and other Cowboy competitions, dutch oven cooking, hands-on learning activities.  ALL FREE!

Sep 21-22 – 42nd Annual Nebraska Square and Round Dance – Adams County Fairgrounds in Hastings (find out more here)

Sep 21-23 – Dalton Fall Festival (Cheyenne County) Parade, crafts, games, BBQ, fireworks, tractor pull (Dalton’s website)

Sep 20-22 – Ogallala Indian Summer Rendezvous.  Parade, craft show, food vendors and more! (Ogallala’s calendar of events)

Sep 22 – Rat Pack Jazz – Featuring Adams & Cooley. A nostalgic musical group takes you back in time.
