Halloween is getting close!!  You can tell by special events happening across the midlands.

Each week I try to pick three of the top events.  I also include some of the others I find.  Here they are for the weekend of October 19, 20 & 21:

1. All Hallows Evenings

Where: Stuhr Museum

When: Friday and Saturday (19 & 20) from 6-9pm

What: Grab some candy on the trail, bob for doughnuts, or check out the Haunted Field

Cost: $6-$8 bucks

2. Hot Air Balloon Festival

Where: Wakefield (North of Norfolk in NE Nebraska)

When: Friday and Saturday

What: Hundreds of hot air balloons, kids activities, craft fair, car show, Chili cookoff, pumpkin carving, and so much more!! (Event Poster here.)

Cost: Free – Some food and extra events may have separate costs.

3. Haunted Victorian Ghost Walk

Where: Plattsmouth (Eastern Nebraska)

When: Friday and Saturday (and again next weekend) 7:30-10pm

What: Follow the night watchman to homes across Plattsmouth.  Hear ghost stories.  Some portrayed by a cast of actors.

Cost: $20
