1. Apple Jack Festival

Where: Nebraska City

When: September 14-16

What: There’s so much to do in Nebraska City this weekend!!

Here’s what their website says:

Folks from all over the country flock to Nebraska City each year for this wholesome, fun-filled weekend celebrating the local apple harvest. And, local orchards take this opportunity to open their doors to the public and showcase their wares, including cider, wine, pies and other baked goods and, of course, tree ripened apples.

2. Rail Fest

Where: North Platte Trails and Rails Museum (and more spots in the city)

When: Sept 14-16

What:  This year is the 150th Anniversary of Union Pacific.  Celebrate!!

Locomotive simulator, live music, tours of Mid-Plains College Railroad Technology Center, tours of Bailey Yard, and much more.
