Friends, it’s county fair season. If you’re like me, you have a soft spot in your heart for all things fair related.
The food and sounds and animals and 4-H ribbons. (Red ribbons if you were me. Hey, at least I tried.)
It truly is an experience for everyone. Need something for your kids to do this summer? Head to the fair for affordable awesomeness.
Never been? No worries! We’ll give you a look at some of the activities happening at the Buffalo County Fair in our view. Not close enough to make the drive? Find a local fair in your community. Your kids will love it! Plus, this is a way for you to get involved too.
Buffalo County Fair – Kearney, Nebraska (July 26 – July 31, 2017)
- Wednesday, July 25 – Drive Out Hunger Food Drive to benefit the Buffalo County Food Pantry. This will be our fourth year with offering $5 off your carnival wristband on Wednesday July 26th if you bring in 5 non-perishable items.
- Friday, July 28 from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm we are having a Special Needs Day for children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities. This will be a free event that will include live entertainment, carnival rides, sensory games and activities, live animals and a free sack lunch. We will be looking for some volunteers for this day as well.
- Saturday, July 29 at 2:00 pm will be the 2nd annual Ag-ility Race. This year we will be supporting the Royal Family Kids Camp.
- Also, we will have our indoor exhibitors that have some great specials and giveaways and we are also providing a monster mural in this area for kids, parents, etc to come relax and color on this HUGE coloring board.
Of course there’s so much to do each day of the fair including concerts, 4-H exhibits and food. (Did I mention food?)
