Refrigerator “Makeover”

Written by Traci Runge

Partly because I am a neat freak and partly because I think things stay clean longer if they are organized, I gave our fridge a “makeover”. (Okay, I might be slightly neurotic, but that’s okay, I’m happy!) If everything has a home, it is easier to find things and also to put them away. In a home with as many bodies as ours has in it, we find things in the STRANGEST places!

Here is a shot of the chaos we were dealing with in our fried before the “makeover”.

Things “generally” had a set place, but it was still a challenge to find them as they got shoved to the back of  shelf. The new bins help with that because you can take an entire bin out to get what’s in the back without disturbing everything.

I decided that if I was going to be rearranging everything anyways, I may as well GO BIG! So, I found a product that I could line all the shelves and drawers with that not only make it easier to keep clean, but spruce it up a bit as well! You can order them online here.

Our oldest daughter, Taylor was kind enough to help me take this task on. We started by taking everything out of the fridge and cleaning every shelf, drawer and door cubby. Once we had everything out and cleaned, we simply organized what we had to make it easier to put back. The fridge coasters were put in place before we loaded it all back in and Voila!

In order to make the fridge a little more “user friendly” we put like products with like products, makes sense, right?!? Somehow we weren’t quite hitting the mark before 😉

I am optimistic that this will make preparing food, putting away groceries and cleaning less daunting. I hope that this may inspire you to get your fridge under control too!

Blessings!
