Our little family had the opportunity to go to Boulder, Colorado for an extended weekend last month. I don’t think I’ve ever been to Colorado in the spring and I loved seeing all of the wildflowers, trees, and grass coming to life.
We did several hikes in different areas around Boulder. Below is a mesa in North Table Mountain Park in Golden, CO.
The weather was SO beautiful while we were there. It was sunny and perfect for being outside during the first half of our trip. It did rain and was a bit chilly the next day so we decided to take a scenic drive up into the mountains. Thirty minutes or so outside of Boulder we hit a snow storm! The snow was melting as soon as it hit the ground but it was still a crazy sight to see!
We love visiting Colorado and seeing the mountains. I dearly love my prairies and wide open Nebraska skies, but there is something about the mountains…
Spring is definitely here in Nebraska and it was starting to show up in Colorado as well. The wildflowers were gorgeous. It was hard for me to not pull out my camera every few steps to take more flower pictures!
We had a wonderfully refreshing weekend enjoying God’s incredible creation.
“Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and Amen.”
