Whiskey Slush

Written by Leslie Means

My sis showed up for a recent birthday party shin-dig with a new concoction.

Um, it was good.  Too good.  One glass of this bad boy was plenty for me!  Could it be because this recipe calls for 1 1/2 CUPS of Whiskey?  Yes, yes it does.

Don’t worry though.  This serves quite a few.  Mix it all together and then freeze.  Apparently it’s more festive in a Mason Jar served with a funky straw.  Whatever you do, I would make sure to eat well before sipping!  Enjoy!

Whiskey Slush

You will need:

  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 4 tea bags boiled for 10 minutes (in the two cups of water)
  • 2 small or 1 large frozen can of lemonade
  • 1 small frozen can of orange juice
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 7 cups of water
  • 1 1/2 cups of whiskey

Mix together.  Freeze.

Enjoy!

P.S. – Do you think one could replace the whiskey with vodka?  Ooh – that sounds tempting.
