This is a nightmare for parents.
According to a report written by The Washington Post, the recall comes after reports of three tragic accidents involving tipped-over Ikea furniture.
Dressers, not anchored to the wall, can easily be tipped over. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, tipped over furniture kills a child every two weeks, on average, and injures a child every 24 minutes.
This is terrifying.
What to do if you have this furniture in your home? Take the dressers out of your home. Full refunds will be given and repair kits to anchor the dresser(s) to the walls are also available.
