Here’s what you need to know about having twins.
It’s awesome.
Yup, that’s it.
But what about double the trouble? Double the diapers? Double the feeding? Double the work?
What about what everyone says about having twins?
Stop listening to them. Stop listening to the naysayers and the chatter, the outside voices that become the negative voices inside your head.
Because you know what? You’ll figure it out. YOU WILL. The feeding, napping, soothing, leaving the house, sleeping . . . all of it. And before you know it, you’ll be a pro at this whole twinning thing and you’ll wonder why you bothered wasting so much time worrying.
So I’m going to tell you all you need to know. You’re going to love those babies like crazy.
You will watch the two of them sleeping nose to nose and you will think your heart is going to burst from loving them so much. You are going to cuddle two, hug two, and smother two in raspberry kisses.
The good will always outweigh the bad. The light will always outshine the dark. The pops of joy will always overshadow the moments of defeat.
And one day? Soon after they are born, you are going to wake up in the morning and you won’t be able to imagine a life without them.
Because your life before? Is nothing compared to your life after. These two babies? Are more than double the joy, double the giggles, and double the love.
They are a gift. A crazy, wonderful, amazing gift. So just hold on and enjoy the ride.
Will there be potholes? Absolutely. But what road worth taking doesn’t have a few bumps along the way? This journey? Is paved with awesome. You’ll see.
