This is a great senosory project for kids. It is soft and fluffy (like flour) but you can mold it like a sand castle.
The older the kid, the more you can make. My 3-year old played with it for an hour and wanted to save it for ‘quiet time’ tomorrow. (That’s a SUPER long time for this toddler.)
Ingredients:
3 cups Flour
3/4 cup Baby Oil
Flat Box
Sand Castle toys or cups and spoons
Directions
Mix the baby oil and flour in a flat box. Play!!
A couple notes:
*The mix is basically 1/4 cup of baby oil for every 2 cups of flour. We didn’t use a ton. If you have two kids playing, you’ll want about 8 cups of flour, I think.
*This does make a mess. I first thought I was bringing the sandbox inside since it is so hot out these days. I had to clean the floor and change Madison’s clothes. But it wasn’t much messier than baking cookies with a 3-year old. 🙂
