Slow Cooker Harvest Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds hamburger browned
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 3 cans chili style beans
  • 3 cans diced tomatoes chili style
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 8 oz. baby bella mushrooms chopped
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1/2 green pepper diced
  • 5 heaping tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • Start to brown the hamburger in a skillet.
  • Add the diced onion, green pepper, and mushrooms about half way through.
  • Cook until the hamburger is no longer pink and the veggies are soft.
  • Place the meat mixture into a slow cooker and add the rest of the ingredients.
  • Mix well and then let cook for about four hours on the low heat setting.
  • Serve with a little cheddar cheese, sour cream, green onions, etc.
  • Pairs well with cinnamon rolls too!
