Flank Steak Strawberry Salad

A great combination of a protein-power-punch with a healthy, tasty summer meal!

Ingredients

  • 1-4 flank steaks
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1-2 cups lettuce
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries sliced
  • 1/3 cup Feta cheese
  • 1/3 cup walnuts chopped
  • 2 Tsbp balsamic viniagrette

Instructions

  • Combine Worcestershire sauce and honey in a ziploc bag or a marinading container.
  • Generously use the seasoned salt and pepper on the steaks, then put in the bag/container and store in the fridge overnight or for 8-12 hours.
  • When ready to grill steaks, set grill to 400 degrees F and sear each side of the steak, then reduce head to 325 and grill until your preferred doneness. Medium rare is great for this salad - check with the internal temperature is around 140 degrees. Remember, the steak continues to cook after it is off of the grill!
  • Let sit at around 10 minutes for the juice of the steak to settle, then slice.
  • Prepare your salad by starting with the lettuce, add strawberries, Feta, and walnuts. Lightly add the steak on top of your salad.
  • Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette.
