Baked Apples
Wonderful little project for the kiddos in the fall. Tastes great with ice cream!!

Ingredients
4-6
apples
we used some from grandpa's farm
1/2
cup
brown sugar
1
tbsp
vanilla
2
tbsp
butter
or more...
cinnamon

ice cream

Small scoop
spoon or apple corer
Baking dish
Instructions
Combine brown sugar and vanilla in a small bowl and stir until combined. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Peel skin around the top of each apple and then core or scoop out the seeds without puncturing the bottom. Place apples in a baking dish.
Fill each apple with the brown sugar mixture and top with butter.
Fill pan with enough water to just cover the bottom and cover tightly with foil.
Bake for 20-30 minutes or until apples are fork tender.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Serve warm with dinner or as dessert!
