I am a wife to my best friend, a mother of three teenagers, and a resolute registered nurse. I've been a military bride for over 15 years which has been equal parts heartache and adventure. My joy of writing began at a young age, with competing in my elementary school's writer's version of "mathletes" where instead of competing in math, we were there to write. A tragic event in my life two years ago, the shocking and unexpected passing of my father, has triggered an urge in me to focus more on my writing, and to begin sharing my work publicly. I am hoping others in similar circumstances might find my words to be relatable and, in a sense, soothing.
