I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but I want to say it loud and proud for all those sitting in the back:
Your life—yes, YOUR life—is worth living.
Even when it’s dark.
Even when it hurts.
Even when it doesn’t make sense.
Life is hard. Like, really freaking hard. Believe me, I get it. I really, really do. It’s messy and broken and complicated, and some days it just doesn’t seem like your hard work is paying off.
I can totally relate to the helplessness of feeling stuck with no way out in sight, and I want to reassure you that it’s okay to feel that way. It’s okay to feel tired, worn out, and flat out over it.
But please hear me when I say this: don’t give up.
Do. Not. Give. Up.
I promise God has a plan.
I am living proof that He really does work all things for His glory and our good. And I trust with all my heart He is doing the same for you. I know it may be hard to believe right now, but God truly does have it all worked out. He has a purpose for your pain and a reason for every detail of your story.
So, if you find yourself discouraged and depressed and unable to keep going…look up. He’s there.
If you’re feeling stuck in hurt with no end in sight…look up. He’s there.
If you’re concerned or confused and don’t know where to turn next…look up. He’s there.
If you’re afraid and questioning if God really does care about you and desire to use you…look up. He’s there.
And if you’re just flat out worn out from the demands of life and aren’t sure if what you’re doing is actually making any sort of difference in this world…look up. He’s there.
Friend, whatever you’re facing today, stand back up. Lay those burdens at the cross. And wait patiently for our good and faithful Father to move mountains. Because no matter what circumstances you find yourself walking through, every single second has a purpose, and every single moment is worth living.
Just you wait and see.
“Therefore we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day.”
2 Corinthians 4:16
