Here’s the thing about traveling with little kids. Is it hard? Sometimes.
Sometimes it looks like a whole carry-on dedicated solely to snacks, activities, and emergency treats.
Sometimes it looks like buying a drink for the passenger next to you as a way of saying sorry and thank you all at the same time for the airplane kid chaos they endured.
Sometimes it looks like altering your picture-perfect itinerary that you meticulously planned on account of missed naps finally catching up.
Sometimes it looks like washing a car seat off in a hotel shower because your toddler got carsick, then proceeding to blow dry it in hopes it dries before your flight home.
Sometimes you wonder if all the planning and prepping is worth it or if you should just put adventuring on hold. Sometimes. But here’s the thing about traveling with little kids: Is it worth it? Always.
Always instilling the life lessons of discovery, love, and respect for all people and places as you watch little eyes light up with every new sight.
Always forming a stronger bond with your husband that deepens with every high and low moment of parenthood you work through together on the trip.
Always reminding yourself that experiences over materialistic things are the best gift you can give your children.
Always making precious memories you know will fill your heart and theirs—both now and years down the road.
Always realizing that all the planning and prepping is worth it. Life moves fast and isn’t meant to be put on hold. Always choose the adventure. Always.
