Oh gosh, guys.  This gave me chills.

So many of us in the Heartland know the terror of being in a tornado warning.  These kids in Haralson County, Georgia, decided not to panic and instead calmed students by breaking out in song in the hallway/shelter of their school.

The choir students had been practicing the song for their upcoming Christmas Program and kept the practice going.

The teacher who captured it on camera and then uploaded it to Facebook, told Channel 2 Action News that is was “truly amazing when our high school kids broke out in spontaneous song.”

Mary Did You Know is a gorgeous song and these students sound incredible.  But even more than that – they took the time to add a bit of peace and calm to what would otherwise be a scary situation.  I often wonder if adults give kids enough credit, you know?  I also love the fact that this christian song is being performed in school.  That doesn’t happen very often anymore.

Our applause to these students for bringing peace to others during difficult moments.  May we all do the same!
