That’s right ladies, all those golden rules from decades ago have been thrown out the window! Last year’s trends introduced color-blocking with Navy and Black. This year, the trend has been heightened by bright colors and mixing more unusual color combinations.
We have seen many color-blocked looks this year with Navy, Black, Brown, and Gray. However, my very favorite remains the original black & blue.
The first look (from left to right) is a very tailored ponte-knit dress. I love this material because it is very comfortable and always looks dressy. This style with color combination is so easy to take from classic to edgy by changing accessories!
Second is a look that is so easy to dress up or down and take from office to evening. Change your flat to a heel and add chunky jewelry for an evening dinner look! The best part about this bright blue – it looks good on every skin tone!
The third look combines our fun color combo with a funky feather print. This top, in my opinion is the perfect shape. It’s probably why I have ordered this top in 2 different colors and now the print! 🙂 It is amazing with skirts, trousers, and skinny’s! It’s one that always looks well styled with a little edge. Pair it with pants for work and a skirt for a night out!
Another fun combo that I have noticed is black and white with brown! Sounds funky, I know, but this is very fresh.
Try it in a way like Kate Beckinsale did on Chelsey Lately, with a pop of brown in the shoes. Or be bold with a funky color-blocked combo like Chelsea Handler!
