My world changed for the better in early January of this year when I had the honor of having my first piece published on Her View From Home and meeting the incredible Leslie Means and her tribe of extraordinary women.
One of those lovely persons happened to be Pamela Homolka. I was captivated by this young lady’s story as she had overcome so many obstacles and hurdles in earlier years and despite the hardships and heartaches rose above!
Pamela decided that she would pursue her dream of becoming a teacher! Her recent teacher observations came back with glowing reviews (no surprise here!). While working on her education, Pam was given another monumental gift when she found out that she and husband Travis would be having another baby! So many of you on Her View From Home have followed Pam’s journey through her weekly postings updating us all on this upcoming miracle. Her monthly sonograms provided an even more exhilarating view.
The day arrived when Pam posted on her Facebook page that they were headed to the hospital which coincided with Game Day for Nebraska fans. Medically all had been going as planned the days before and Pam delivered a happy and healthy 8 pound 10 ounce bundle of joy with auburn hair and brown eyes.
They named him Lucas.
Her Facebook family and friends could not wait to hear more news and then suddenly the bottom dropped out from our world when Pam’s husband Travis posted that they had lost the baby. We were all stunned and speechless and felt helpless.
It was not possible then nor now to wrap our minds around this tragedy. I am here to let you know that Pam has set up a gofundme page to help offset the financial costs of Lucas’ funeral which will be held on November 14th. She is also trying to sell Tupperware to raise additional funds.
Today my husband and I planted a tree in Israel to honor Pam’s angel baby so she will know he lives on in our hearts and in our souls. We wrap this whole family in healing hugs and prayers of comfort and support. Thank you to the exquisite ladies of Her View From Home for listening today!
