I cried on the pantry floor today.
Motherhood is absolutely exhausting. Like, down to the bones exhausting. And sometimes, well, the exhaustion gets the better of me.
And the feelings of failure can seep in deep. The lies of the enemy, screaming loud.
But mama, God doesn’t want us to stay stuck in this place of discouragement or defeat. He wants us to rise back up in His strength.
So in case you find yourself in the same weary spot today, let me speak this truth to your heart: the God of the universe handpicked you to be your kiddos’ mama. Not her. You.
No, you aren’t perfect. You’re far from it. But you’re the perfect mom for them. No one on earth can love them, care for them, or raise them up the way you can. Absolutely no one.
And on days you feel like you can’t take one more step, remind yourself that you don’t have to. It’s okay to let Him carry you.
Mama, you are so loved by the Savior of the world. You were created for this exact purpose. And with Him, you can get through absolutely anything. (And, spoiler alert: you will.)
