Our Keepsake Journal is Here! šŸŽ‰

To my husband, the man I vowed to spend the rest of my life with, till death do us part, through thick and thin . . . I still love you like the first time.

Fourteen years and three small children, we barely get the time to breathe, let alone talk, but I still love you like the first time.

There is a constant stream of laundry, vacuuming, and dishes to do, which means we donā€™t get to sit down till we are exhausted and ready for bed too soon, but I still love you like the first time.

Even in the middle of the night, when we are snapping at each other because we have been woken up more than once by a child who needs us and we are so tired . . .

I still love you like the first time.

The endless school runs and after-school activities. We donā€™t stopā€”we donā€™t stop to look at each other, but I still love you like the first time.

When I donā€™t want to talk because the kids are shouting at each other, or shouting at us, or asking a million questions a minute . . . I still love you like the first time.

Through the times when you need some contact from me, a hug, but I push you away because Iā€™m touched out from a baby who wants to be attached to me all day long . . . I still love you like the first time.

At 4 p.m. when you come down from your home office, stressed because you have to work from home, and you have the burden of work and trying to help me out with all the things that need to be done, I see that.

I see the heavy load you carry, and I still love you like the first time.

Every single night, I know the disappointment you feel when you cook us dinner that the kids barely touch, and I still love you like the first time.

I think of all the times youā€™ve had to cancel your plans because one of the kids is sick or has an appointment or has a birthday party they just have to go to. I know it isnā€™t fair that we canā€™t do the things we want to anymore, and I still love you like the first time.

I see you husband, I see you with the weight of the world on your shoulders when all you need from us is some appreciation. Even if we donā€™t say it, we appreciate you, and I still love you like the first time.

I know it wonā€™t always be this way, and when we are older and we have time to talk, time to breathe, I will still love you like the first time.

I will always love you like the first time.

Dear Husband, Your Strong Hands Hold My Heart

In: Marriage
Strong man holds tool with a smile www.herviewfromhome.com

My husband works a manual labor job. He supports our family by the sweat of his brow and the strength of his back, a man of permanent tan lines. He’s proud of the work he does. And I never knew I could be so proud of how hard he works for us, either. Now let me clear a few things up, because I know you’ve already thought about them. No, he doesn’t “have” to work this job (he chose it because he loves it). And yes, he has an education (he went to school to learn his profession). An no,...

Leaning on My Husband Makes Me a Stronger Woman www.herviewfromhome.com

Iā€™ve seen the blogs and heard the comments from other women telling girls and young women to never depend on a man. As if somehow depending on a man is weak or makes you less of a woman. Well, then call me weak and less than because I depend on this man right here. Heā€™s the one who hears me when my words are too soft for anyone else to hear. Heā€™s the one who stands by my side but steps away to let me lead when itā€™s my time. Heā€™s the one standing in the background saying, ā€œYouā€™ve got...

Dear Husband, Kiss Your Wife Like You Mean it

In: Marriage
Man kissing woman black and white photo

Husbands, I have a few . . . tips. 1. Instead of sleeping in or rushing off to work, roll over for a minute and kiss your wife. Like, reeeeaaaallly kiss her (this may work in your favor RIGHT on the spot). 2. Catch her in the closet while she changes clothes and let your eyes linger. Then tell her sheā€™s even more beautiful now than the day you first saw her. 3. Shoot her a text from work to say, ā€œI sure LOVE doing life with you.ā€ 4. When you get home, wrap your arms around her waist and...
