To be given a dandelion by a child is to be though

To be given a dandelion by a child is to be thought of.

That child paused for you.
They saw the bright yellow & thought of you.
They took the time to pluck it for you.
They beam as they hand it to you.

The thought crossed their mind that this flower would make you happy.

& they did all of that because they love you.

What a beautiful gift to be given a dandelion.

If you had one day to turn back the clock and rev

If you had one day to turn back the clock and revisit a day from your past, where would you go? Mine would be here.

I had the chance to go see my grandparents old house and oh the memories that this house holds. The house me + my siblings spent so much time at with our cousins who were our best friends. The house we called Marmar and Papas 🫶🏻 The house i miss the most and the house that truly felt like home.

if you still have your grandparents, hug their precious necks tight for me. I miss mine dearly. I miss this house and the precious memories that it holds. But, I’m so happy to have these photos, these memories, and this chance to revisit 🤍

My ultimate goal in life is to make my children and grandchildren feel the way our grandparents made us feel growing up. I want my home to feel like theirs. I want their memories flooded with so much love like ours is. If you ask me, that feeling is unmatched 🤍

You were my secret once, When I carried you, just

You were my secret once,

When I carried you, just the littlest seed of who you’d become.

I couldn’t feel your body quite yet, but you already lived in my heart and deep within my dreams.

And in that moment you were completely mine and I knew that I’d love you through it all.

You grew and my body held you still, there beneath my heart. I watched your legs dance and stretch my lined belly, I felt your tiny hiccups, I marveled at the way it all felt so alien but yet completely how it was meant to be.

And then one day, you and I got to meet for the very first time. I held your little body, so much smaller than I could comprehend, and I watched as you nuzzled your sweet face into my chest. Everything else in the world fell away. My heart grew with my love for you and I never wanted to let you go.

Since that day I’ve watched you grow. I’ve held you through so many sleepless nights. I’ve carried you many miles, in my arms, on my shoulders, on my back, in my heart, always on my mind and in my dreams.

And I can feel the days slipping away. As the nights when my lap is filled with your heavy sleeping body are fewer and fewer. And I sense the day when I can no longer carry you on my hip, or snuggled up together rocking into the night. I feel that part of our journey ending.

But I know that even when my arms are not strong enough to carry your growing body, and your growing independence takes you far from my empty lap, that I will carry you still.

I will hold you whenever you ask, and embrace you whenever I can. I will hold memories of you close, and I will carry my hopes for your future. I will hold all of my love for you, as it blossoms and grows each day, in my heart and soul.

I will hold you in my mind, I will carry you within my soul, as an extension of my very being. Because you are a part of me, and I of you.

I will never not carry you, I will never not hold you, I will never not feel your presence in my heart. Because no matter how much time passes, no matter how big you get, no matter where life takes either of us, you will always be my baby, and I will always be Mommy.
