At just 11 years old, she played twins in the Disney reboot of “The Parent Trap” and now Lindsay Lohan has parenting news of her own: she’s pregnant!

Lohan, 36, made the announcement on Instagram Tuesday by posting a photo of a white onesie that says “coming soon…” She tagged her husband Bader Shammas in the photo, and added the caption, “We are blessed and excited!”

If you hear a collective “Awwww!” echoing across the internet, it’s coming from all the ’80s babies who grew up watching Lohan grow up right alongside them, but on the silver screen. Following her debut performance in The Parent Trap, Lohan went on to star in Disney’s Freaky Friday remake alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, and of course, became Cady Heron for the 2004 instant teen cult classic Mean Girls. (“On Wednesdays, we wear pink!”)

After a long (and rocky) hiatus from acting, Lohan returned to the small screen in a 2022 Netflix Christmas movie she also executive produced, called Falling For Christmas. It was the first time many of us had seen Lohan back in the public eye, and it rekindled a lot of ’90s and early-2000s nostalgia for an entire generation.

No word on a due date for the little bundle of joy (dare we hope for October 3rd?!), but fans and costars alike are thrilled the actress has found happiness and joy.

New mom (and former Lohan foe-turned-friend) Paris Hilton commented on Lohan’s announcement: “Congratulations love! So happy for you 🥹 Welcome to the Mommy Club!”

Mean Girls co-stars Amanda Seyfried and Lacy Chabert (aka Karen Smith and Gretchen Weiners, of course) chimed in with their congratulations on the Instagram post too.

And there are even some pretty great suggestions for a post-baby return to the big screen:

Now there’s a reboot we can all get behind!

Congratulations to Lindsay and Bader as they look forward to their new roles as “Mom” and “Dad”—we’re happy for you!

The Best ’90s Movies For Dads to Watch With Their Kids

In: Fatherhood
family movie night

I think I speak for most dads when I say I want to raise well-rounded kids. In addition to studying traditional subjects like English or math, they should also have a rich and varied cultural education, am I right? As the current steward of my children’s schooling during COVID-19, I take this responsibility seriously. So, with all the time in the world on my hands, a captive audience, and absolutely nowhere to go except between the snack shelf and the couch, I figure now is the perfect opportunity to show these kids what good entertainment really looks like. I may...

Halle Bailey Disney The Little Mermaid

“Have you ever seen something so wonderful in your entire life?” It’s official! Disney has released the first trailer for The Little Mermaid, offering a glimpse into the much-anticipated live-action remake coming to theatres in May 2023. I have to admit, I may have shed a tear and gotten chills when actress Halle Bailey sang the opening chords of “Part of Your World.” The human world, it’s a mess . . . but ’80s and ’90s kids are ready to dive under the sea and rediscover the magic of our childhoods. The Little Mermaid was one of my all-time favorite...
