You know how after you’re married for a while and things can start to get a little . . . ho-hum? No? Me neither! 🙂 LOL. But let’s just pretend that happens to some of us. One enterprising wife, Sharea Overman, put some spice back in a marital road trip comedy-style when her husband took a roadside nap, with what will surely go down in internet history as one of the best. pranks. EVER.

You see, when Sharea’s hubby, Nate, needed a snooze break on their recent road trip to visit family, she used her time wisely during his nap. As in, she immediately took a pic of her sleeping mate and uploaded it to a photographer group she’s in on Facebook, saying:

I hope this is allowed! We are on the road and my husband fell asleep. Can y’all photoshop things in the window so I can show him what he missed while he was asleep?

Naturally, the good photographers of the inernetz responded like the comedy heroes we all need right now. A Facebook user named Trisha Keel took all the photos and made a post of her own, which quickly went viral and currently has over 300,000 shares. With gems like these, how could this NOT go viral?

Here are a few of our favorites, but you simply must scroll through every single one to get the full effect of this collective comedic genius!

Things Nate missed include:

A jailbreak by the Tiger King . . .

Multiple alien invasions . . .

A zombie apocalypse . . .

And a whole host of opportunities for movie cameos!

I think my favorite is definitely Doc Brown and Marty McFly from Back to the Future, but Nate himself likes that Christie Brinkley from Vacation took a moment to give him a gander.

Kudos to Sharea for the idea, and her band of  “up for anything” photographer for answering her call in the most EPIC way! This is TOTALLY the laugh we all need right now! Which one of Nate’s “While You Were Sleeping” moments is your fave?
