I decided to take a day off work and capture the beautiful fall colors before there would be a hard freeze and a lot of the leaves will fall off. I headed over to Cottonmill Lake on the west side of Kearney early in the morning. I parked my car near the water and found many turkeys wandering around the
area. I kept chasing the turkeys and snapping pictures, but it appeared the turkeys were not in the mood to be photographed. Instead, I decided to focus my attention on these cheerful flowers.
There was still mist on the water. It looked even more interesting
when the sun started to rise above the trees.
These seeds looked as soft as rabbit fur.
I think it is interesting that God even decides to decorate the dirt every once in a while.
When the sun got a little bit higher in the sky, the mist above the water cleared
and provided a beautiful reflection of the autumn leaves.
