If you’re like me, you can’t get enough of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their new baby, Prince Archie. I mean…Duchess Meghan is American so little Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor has dual citizenship! We have an American prince now you guys…GAME ON! Do you think my 12-year-old daughter is too old for him?? Oh, I KID, I KID!!
As you can imagine, Harry and Meghan have received oodles of congratulations and well-wishes on Prince Archie’s birth, but the best EVER came from none other than Disney, and it made my heart melt into a puddle! It features the beloved character Winnie the Pooh drawn in the “Classic Pooh” style, and since all three of my kids had a Classic Pooh nursery, it made this mama just a little misty!
The 25-second animation features Pooh Bear making a journey from his beloved Hundred Acre Wood to Windsor Castle, carrying a large blue book. After he arrives, he is then seen sitting on the floor of a nursery at the Duchess’ feet while she and Harry look at the book as a crib with the name “Archie” on it sits nearby.
It’s so flipping SWEET, you guys!
According to Disney, the animation sketches were hand-drawn by Disney’s Senior Principal Artist, Kim Raymond, specifically as a gift to the royal couple to commemorate their first born’s arrival.
Personally, I can’t think of a more precious gift for Prince Archie, who clearly, is not going to hurt for the material things a baby needs. It’s also quite the unique gift for a unique couple who are certainly trailblazing a lot of “firsts” in the royal world!
You’ve gotta watch this sweet animation and tell me—is there anything more adorable???
To celebrate the birth of Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, @Disney have created a special Winnie-the-Pooh animation as a gift for Harry and Meghan. The short was hand-painted in watercolour by Disney’s senior principal artist Kim Raymond. Really special? pic.twitter.com/PrY5wlMeBQ
