Summertime – at least here in Nebraska – is filled with sunshine. While I don’t particularly care for the heat of summer, I love the sun and the light it gives.

We camped with family and friends over Labor Day weekend and soaked up some of the last days of summertime. My sister-in-law and I went on a run one morning shortly after sunrise. On a little dirt road behind the main camp there was a beautiful meadow.

With the early morning light hitting the grass and flowers, it was absolutely beautiful. The scenery made the run worth it!

Sam and I went back to that spot the next morning to take pictures. Timberlake Ranch Camp is one of our favorite places in Nebraska and I wanted to take some time to capture the beauty and peace that we experience there.

Summer is almost over. Fall officially begins in just a little over a week! I love fall weather, so I am looking forward to (hopefully!) cooler temperatures and the crispness of the fall air. We’ve had a wonderful golden summer, especially as we have been enjoying life with our baby boy.

Here’s to a wonderful autumn season!
