Like 99% of the U.S. population, I’m a complete sucker for a Shamrock milkshake. I’ve been counting down the days for the arrival at my local Mickey D’s, (seriously, it’s on my calendar with a countdown) when my husband announces that he just saw that there will now be 5 varieties of shakes on the menu!

Do you know what this means? It means there’s a Shamrock Shake for breakfast, made with espresso and, a mid-afternoon pick me up frappe, a half and half with chocolate shake for those must-have-chocolate days, and a hot chocolate for the evenings. The only thing this needs is Oreos, do you think they would add them for me? Or maybe I should just keep a pack in the car…

The shake menu is due out on Tuesday, February 7, which theoretically is perfect timing for me to have one variety each week, with a grace period to have a second chance at a couple of favorites. But let’s be real, I’ll be rolling through the drive-thru every time I pass a store.

Sadly, these have actually been available for years on some “secret menu,” which I must be either too old or too lame to know about. That just means I have to make up for lost time, a chore for which I am uniquely equipped.
