You GUYS!
Wow. Thank you again for the Facebook love earlier this week. I got myself back into the video world and asked for your help to share and share and share some more.
And you did. Andddddd – it made me bawl. Because, yeah. I was just so thankful.
(If you missed that gem of me bawling – well, you’ll find it on our Facebook page.)
It wasn’t about the Facebook likes (we were hoping to get to 5,000 by April 12, and you guys helped us reach that goal in about 18 hours). Nope – it was much more than that. Your likes and shares made us all feel pretty darn good about this little community we have formed. The more people we can reach, the more our writers’ stories will be told.
And that’s pretty amazing.
Thanks again for your support. Next little video I post of me – I’ll try really hard not to cry like I do every.single.time. I watch the Notebook. But no, really. I am crier. Oh. You knew that? Just checkin.’
OK – now a confession.
Right now I’m in the Sandhills of Nebraska for my “real” work – (aka, the job that pays me). If you aren’t familiar with the Sandhills, I’ll give you a little rundown. It’s a gorgeous area of country with sandy hills, the most amazing sunsets and sunrises and a lot of wide open spaces.
Like, a lot. A lot, a lot, a lot.
I’m a farm girl from Nebraska. And even though I’m only a few hours north of where I grew up, this area of the state is much different. Not a bad different, just different. So I feel, honestly, like I’m on a mini vacation up here. Even though – it’s for work.
Did I mention it’s gorgeous?
But back to the wide open spaces. For a girl who hasn’t been away from the internet for one signal day in almost 3 years, being in the wide open spaces can be scary town. As in, I felt myself twitching a bit this morning when I realized I couldn’t get a signal on my phone or wi-fi on my laptop.
OHHHHHH. It’s that wide open? Yep.
Luckily for me, a friend of mine loaned me her hot spot for the weekend, which is how I’m chatting with you lovely folks this morning.
Whew.
Here’s the confession. Is it sad that I haven’t been away from the internet in three years. Like, ever? Yeah – I kinda think it is. Leslie – BALANCE YOUR LIFE.
I’m trying, I really, really am. I’m going to try a little harder. Perhaps this weekend was God’s wake-up call for me?
I think maybe so.
I’m off to “work” in my full camo gear overalls in one of the most gorgeous areas of the country. Have a fantastic weekend everyone!
PS: Thanks. You guys rock.
