Our Keepsake Journal is Here! 🎉

It’s always the way he looks at me.

It’s always the way his touch calms me and sets me on fire simultaneously.

It’s the way he makes me feel like a kid and a woman at the same time.

It’s the way he knows what I’m thinking before I  even say it out loud.

It’s the way he makes me laugh on the hardest of days.

It’s the way he makes every place we’re together feel like home.

It’s the way he thanks me after every meal.

It’s the way he kisses me goodbye every morning and kisses me hello every night.

It’s the way he asks us how our days were.

It’s the way he brings home her favorite donut every Saturday morning.

It’s the way he walks through the door every night with a smile on his face no matter what his own day was like.

It’s the way he gets down on the floor to play every night.

It’s the way he looks at our daughter when she learns something new.

It’s the way he dances with her in the living room.

It’s the way he looks at our son when he starts to wave hello.

It’s the way my daughter’s face lights up when she sees his truck pull in the driveway and the way my son beams when he walks into any room.

It’s the way he tells her she’s beautiful.

It’s the way he loves on his son.

It’s the way he tells me I’m beautiful.

It’s the way they see how a man should love his family.

It’s the way I feel when he walks through the door every night.

It’s the way after 10 years together I’m always finding new things I love about him.

It’s the way he puts us first. Always.

It’s his dedication. His dedication to simply being a good man. His dedication to being the best father he can be. His dedication to being the greatest husband to me, the greatest son to his mother and father, best brother to his sister, and dependable friend to all.

It’s the way even during the toughest of our times and tests of our relationship, I can always count on him to be there through it all, no matter what.

It’s the way he has transformed my life in the greatest way possible.

It’s the way he manages to turn all of the little, simplest things into the most memorable and biggest things.

It’s the way we love each other.

It’s the way we choose each other.

It’s the way we laugh together

It’s the way I am with him and he is with me.

It’s the way I know I was born to love him and be loved by him.

It’s the way I know we will always do this life together.

It’s just the way he is.

Leaning on My Husband Makes Me a Stronger Woman www.herviewfromhome.com

I’ve seen the blogs and heard the comments from other women telling girls and young women to never depend on a man. As if somehow depending on a man is weak or makes you less of a woman. Well, then call me weak and less than because I depend on this man right here. He’s the one who hears me when my words are too soft for anyone else to hear. He’s the one who stands by my side but steps away to let me lead when it’s my time. He’s the one standing in the background saying, “You’ve got...

Marry the Man Who Does the Little Things

Marry the Man Who Does the Little Things www.herviewfromhome.com

To the young lady looking for a husband, Don’t marry a man for his looks. Time and circumstance will change your appearance, and 9/10 odds they’ll change his too. Don’t marry him for his hygiene. Chances are that no matter how good you think he smells now, you’re probably still going to involuntarily gag whenever he gets within 15 feet of you during those beloved days of morning sickness and pregnancy nausea. And once the baby arrives? Well, chances are that neither of you will be winning any cleanliness awards for a while. Don’t marry him for his strength. He...

I Pray You Marry a Man Who Loves You the Way Your Daddy Loves Me

In: Marriage

My little girl, You are too young to understand this now, but one day years from now you may find yourself looking for a man to marry. And from now until that day comes I will pray to God above you’ll find someone who loves you the way your daddy loves me and who will love your children the way your daddy loves his. I don’t mean it has to “look” the same, but what I do mean is that I hope you get to feel the way I do being married to your dad. For me—it’s not about how...
