Hawaiian Crock Pot Chicken

My husband is out of town 4-5 days a week.  As a result, my crock pot is one of my favorite pals.  He can cook while I play with the kiddos in the evening.  SO… I’m trying all kinds of recipes right now!! 

Here’s a great light one for summer. 




Can of Pineapple Chunks

1 lb Chicken Breast

1 lb Chicken Thigh

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup soy sauce




Dissolve brown sugar in soy sauce. 

Dump everything in the crock pot.


Heat on low for 2-3 hours (some pots cook this really fast.)

Serve over rice.


**Note: You can mix the remaining sauce on the stove top with cornstarch to use as sauce.

    • Linda – These are some of my VERY favorite things in the WHOLE world. They have made my slow cooker life so easy!! Now I can use it once a week – because it is a breeze to clean. They are simply “Slow Cooker liners” – sold in most grocery stores with the Ziplock bags. I bet oven bags would work, too. But the cleanup is a dream. Just toss the bag and rinse the pot.
