Lets do this! A new year is here, fresh with optimism and new starts. Last year on January 6, I decided I had “enough” of my unhealthy eating habits, lack of exercise, and clothes that were too tight. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired, and there and then I committed to doing better. January 6 just so happened to be my 35th birthday.
I made AWESOME strides in 2014! With better focus on all the things I needed to live a healthy life, the weight started to peel away. One of the fun things I did that motivated me and allowed me to make new friends, was an awesome competition called “The Diet Bet”. It has a very simple concept, bet $35 and commit to losing 4% of your weight in 28 days. At the end, those who successfully did so split the “pot” of money. I participated in two of them and had success both times. The fun thing about it is that you can see what is working for other players and make new friends while living a healthier life. I am also motivated by my frugal ways and I would hate to lose the hard earned funds I poured into the competition.
In that spirit, HVFH is hosting our first ever Diet Bet for HVFH readers and friends! We will kick it off on January 6, so you have a few days to mentally and physically prepare. We chose this date because it again falls on my birthday and my annual day to commit to living a fully healthy year.
