My sweet child,
Kids can be mean. I hate that you know that reality. I hate that I can’t protect you from it or take away the pain that comes from it.
But I hope you know you are loved beyond measure. You are an amazing person with so much to offer the world, and I know you are shining your light into the darkness of the school.

You have a family that loves you, supports you, and roots for everything you do.
The sad reality is that the children being mean to you are hurting.
They’re dealing with pain and brokenness that they’re yearning to restore. I hate that their pain is coming out in a way that causes you pain, but let’s pray for those children who are struggling.
God is with you. He goes before you, and He comforts you and takes away your fear. He gives you the courage you need to stand up to injustice.

That same God who loves you, also loves the ones who are saying hurtful things to you. He made them and wants them to know Him, love Him, trust Him, and follow Him.
You, my sweet child, could be the one to shine that light into their lives.
I pray for you as you step out of this house every morning. I pray you have the strength and courage to face the darkness in this world. I pray God uses your heart of compassion to show love to the unloving. I pray you will never forget that you are loved and cherished.
