There’s no doubt about it – I married an artist. My husband, Samuel, is a creative like me, although we express ourselves differently. I love that we share a common interest in art and, more recently, a love for photography.
Today I’m going to show some of Sam’s recent work. He has been taking a photography course at CCC in Hastings. Sam is my second shooter on most occasions and wanted to learn more about photography so he could be more help – isn’t he sweet? =)
I love this fall landscape that he took a few weeks ago. We were on our way home from a shoot when Sam saw this group of trees and wanted to stop. I’m usually tired of taking pictures after we have a shoot, so I stayed in the car – but I’m so glad Sam made time to get this picture!
Sam has a great eye for unique compositions. I really like the layers in this image, all telling the story of harvest. He’s also brave enough to go where I wouldn’t – like the top of a 35-foot-high grain bin!
We both love it when we see really beautiful landscapes. We try to keep a camera with us when we’re travelling so we can capture amazing views like this one.
Sam works on a farm, which gives him the opportunity to find unique things to take pictures of. This is the roof of one of the buildings on the farm. The pattern of the bolts and tin make a really interesting picture.
This is one of my recent favorites that Sam has taken. The lighting is beautiful and the textures are really cool as well.
I love being married to someone who is a creative like me. Sam is such a blessing to me in helping with my business, as well as encouraging me in my pursuit of photography. I thank God for him every day!
