“Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.” – Stanley Horowitz
Isn’t that a beautiful quote? I love each season but I think fall is my favorite. The crisp chill in the air, the colors, the smells of apple cider and cinnamon… and of course doing annual fall things like going to the pumpkin patch.
We used to go as kids every year and now my husband and I try to go each year with our friends or families. It’s always a blast to relive childhood memories and make new ones too!
I can’t even tell you how many pictures of leaves I have in my archives. I’m fascinated with the colors, the detail, the shape of each individual leaf.
And of course fall in Nebraska is not complete without harvest! I come from a farming family and this is definitely a busy season for us. But it’s also a season of thanksgiving – thanking God for His blessings and the strength we need.
What is your favorite season?
