Online school is one of the many challenges nearly all parents and teachers have faced in this koo-koo nuts dumpster fire that is 2020. I think to say that it has had its ups and downs is MORE than fair . . . but a recent video upload to one little student’s teacher has me accentuating the positives.

This online school video upload is a must see, and I’m sure it shocked the pants off this little one’s teacher!

Last week, mom Jennifer Jones did us all a favor when she posted one of her daughter Delaney’s craft tutorials to Facebook. While Delaney was crafting, her dad thought it would be hilarious to “dance bomb” her tutorial —but he had NO IDEA that Delaney was uploading the video to the Seesaw app she uses for school . . . directly to her teacher!

Jennifer explains in her Facebook post:

I was checking Delaney’s Seesaw (app for school) and she often will send her teachers random videos wishing them well, or goodnight, or just talking to talk.

Well . . . I found this as a sent video from earlier today. I hope her teacher laughed as hard as I did . . .

How’s your distance learning going?

*update* Daddy thought she was just making a “tutorial” like she typically does. He didn’t know she uploaded it to Seesaw and sent it to her 1st grade teacher!

That’s right, Delaney’s teacher got to see her dad shaking his booty (and his toddler) to the Kidz Bop version of “Uptown Funk” and it is ABSOLUTELY what we all need right now!

I don’t know about you, but I cracked up HARD! I can only imagine the teacher’s laughter mixed with horror, giving way to just complete and total hysteria. And how cute is Delaney? She just keeps on going with her tutorial no matter how the men in her life try to throw her off! She’s a woman on a mission!

I have a feeling Delaney and her family might just be this teacher’s favorite . . . I’m loving them!

This video made me think and realize something important, and I’m glad it did:

We all need to still be able to just get real silly for our kids within this crazy, scary situation we are living through.

Thanks so much to Delaney’s rad dad for that reminder, and for SLAYING that dance!

Have you had any memorable online schooling moments in your family this year?

PS – Our teachers are working so hard . . . let’s work even harder to love them a little extra this year!
