Fall has officially begun, which means it’s basically Christmas, am I right? Since 2020 has been umm, shall we say, difficult, I think we definitely have license to get our holiday on early! Luckily, the Hallmark Channel agrees, and this week released the Hallmark Christmas movie schedule to delight all of us fans of feel-good movies desperately in need of Christmas cheer.
The Hallmark Christmas movie schedule starts October 24th, so break out the pre-Halloween eggnog!
Giiiirl, there are 40, count em, 4-0 holiday movies on that schedule! Hallmark is calling it the “Countdown to Christmas” and I am here for it. During these crazy tense times in our country this year, I’ve turned to rom-coms for some mindless comfort to take my mind off things more than once, and I am not ashamed to say it.
So basically, this Hallmark Christmas movie schedule is doing us a public service. It’s self-care without leaving the house and if you already have the Hallmark Channel, it’s also pre-paid. What more could a mom ask for? LOL!
Hallmark is going to be bringing back your favorite leads in these Christmas movies, so get ready for plenty of Candace Cameron Buré, Rachael Leigh Cook, Danica McKellar, and Lacey Chabert.
Hallmark also says that this year’s docket of Christmas movies will feature the most inclusive casts and story lines yet, so look for movies featuring gay couples and Hanukkah storylines, as well as more diverse lead actors.
The movie that will kick off this much-anticipated “Countdown to Christmas” is called Jingle Bell Bride, and yes that title did make me laugh out loud at its cheesiness, but BRING IT ON! It stars Julie Gonzalo as a wedding planner who must travel to a small town in Alaska to find a rare flower for a celebrity client. While she’s there, love . . . wait for it . . . BLOSSOMS! Oh yes, I did.
Once those new Christmas movies get going, there’s a new one every day until December 20th. Is that crazy or what? Hallmark knows how to crank ’em out!
So who’s ready to get this Hallmark Christmas movie schedule on the calendar? You can check out their website for the full schedule and see which ones you most want to set your DVR for. Merry early Christmas, ladies!
