Justin Timberlake just performed a show in Omaha and he “can’t stop the feeling” {oh yes I did!} of empathy for Nebraska’s recent flood victims.
Sigh…JUST when we thought we couldn’t love JT more, he comes through for his Nebraskan fans! The singer announced that not only would a portion of the proceeds from the show go to flood relief efforts, but that he’d also give a personal donation that would be matched by touring company Live Nation. But wait, there’s more! He also said that Bai, the beverage company he is s a spokesperson for, would be sending bottled water to affected areas as well.
“Our hearts go out to all of those affected by the flooding across the Midwest,” he said. Ummm, with a four-fold donation, I’d say he MEANS it! Is that amazing or what?
JT performed in a “Nebraska Strong” t-shirt and he and his bandmates raised a glass and thanked fans for helping with the relief donation…because the sold out-show was the highest grossing event EVER at the CHI Center, the proceed donation is sure to be a substantial one.
“This is the real America right here,” he said. “Are we Nebraska strong tonight?” He then added, “We love you, Omaha! Thank you for having us out tonight, and thank you for helping us with this donation.”
I’ll admit, I kind of love Justin Timberlake unconditionally, but after his efforts to show he cares about the devastation his fellow Americans are suffering through in Nebraska, I think maybe he can do no wrong. Thank you, JT, for putting your money where your mouth is, and helping out the Cornhusker State!
Doesn’t get much sexier than JT dancing in a Nebraska Strong T-shirt. #ManOfTheWoodsTour #JustinTimberlake pic.twitter.com/pPiWqpwPO0
