Is it just me or have ’90s kids had a TON of entertainment news to be happy about lately? First, we got The Baby-Sitters Club series on Netflix, then Supermarket Sweep, and now, our favorite zany ’90s sitcom, Jim Henson’s Dinosaurs, is coming to Disney+!!
If there’s one thing I love more than reliving my childhood, it’s sharing the best of it with my kids, so I’m SUPER excited about this! For those of you who (inexplicably) don’t remember Dinosaurs, let me refresh ya!
Dinosaurs was an early ’90s sitcom that ran for four years on ABC and was created by the Jim Henson company.
The show was about the Sinclair a family of, um, dinosaurs, obvi—but they lived in a modern world in houses, with electricity, appliances, and jobs—and they even had humans as pets (yikes!).
I remember sitting in front of my TV for “T.G.I.F” on ABC like it was yesterday, to get my fill of feel-good comedies, including this one!
The breakout star of the show for me was the “Baby Sinclair,” who could get away with anything and had great catchphrases like “Not the Mama!” to show you who his preferred person was. Ha! I will say though, that his teenage siblings Robbie and Charlene provided plenty of hilarity on their own, and cranky, hardworking dad Earl was a great comedic foil!
I know this show sounds weird as all get out, but it WORKED, and I can’t wait to see it again and see what my kids think of it!

No release date for Dinosaurs has been announced by Disney+ yet, so we’ve got a while to wait, wonder, and prepare to binge.
In the meantime, I am totally loving the fact that everything ’90s is COOL again! Will you be introducing your family to the dino-tastic Sinclairs when the time comes?
